My name is Jerry Dayton and I’m 31 years old.   At the moment I am serving as missionary in England on a two year visa, which ends in March 2012. I’m here helping with a Calvary Chapel church plant.  Currently I feel the Lord leading me back to California and will probably arrive near July.   My hope is that God will present a ministry opportunity which will provide for myself and possibly a wife, my girlfriend and I are praying about getting married in May.

More than anything else I have a passion and gift for teaching and am the most blessed when I get to do so out of God’s Word.  I also have a heart for encouraging and raising up other believers.

I have a BA in History/Political Science from California Baptist University and taught at a Christian private school for a year before leaving for England. Though I feel that the Lord is leading me back to California, I am completely surrendered to His will if He has some other place in the world in mind for me.   Anyway this is me knocking on doors, trying to see which one the Lord might open.

A part-time preschool teaching position is available at Calvary Chapel Lake Arrowhead. As an applicant it is essential that you have completed the 12 core ECE college units required for a preschool teacher.  We also desire to hire someone with a strong relationship with the Lord, as you will be teaching academics and biblical truths to the children in the classroom.  Further, as an applicant, you would need to be available in the afternoon hours.  This position would begin around 20 hours per week with potential to increase over time.

Calvary Chapel Christian School, Aiea, Hawaii (Oahu) is accepting applications for the 2012 – 2013 school year.  All applicants must have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus the Lord; have a dependence on the Holy Spirit, and a love and an excitement for teaching, students, and learning.  The minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree.  Experience preferred, but not necessary.

·        Elementary (2nd to 6^th grade) – have the ability to confidently teach all subject areas, physical education, etc.

·        Secondary – must have the ability to confidently teach students in the 7^th – 12^th grades.  We are looking for candidates to teach Mathematics/Science, English/History, Electives, and/or any combination of subjects listed.  The desire to spiritually disciple and motivate students for Jesus Christ is a must!
